Consortium for Executive Development
Today’s successful companies are proactively investing in their leadership talent pool. That means they are taking strategic steps to retain and grow high-potential managers.
Babson’s Consortium for Executive Development can help your company achieve its talent development objectives by equipping your high-potential managers with the critical skills they need to lead and grow your organization. Our consortium is built upon company teams of managers from different departments to develop opportunity-focused managers with both cross-functional and strategic perspectives.
Your team of three to six high-potential managers will learn to:
- Identify strategic priorities and opportunities for change
- Manage effectively in a rapidly changing business environment
- Evaluate and assess overall business processes and their impact on underlying functions such as marketing, manufacturing, and IT
- Understand and forecast financial consequences of decisions and their effect on shareholder value
Corporate membership is required to participate in this program. Member companies are typically large, global companies with middle managers who are ready to move from functional to managerial roles.
Member companies are required to select three to six high-potential managers per year to attend the program.
Educators for this program include: William Lawler (program director), Stephen Allen, Martin Anderson, Thomas Davenport, Dhruv Grewal, Kathleen Hevert, and Paul Mulligan.

(The Consortium) approach provides customization and gives managers from the member companies an opportunity to learn from each other. You can't get this from a typical open enrollment or custom program. That's what's so unique about the Babson consortium.
